TEAM
Meet our experienced team of
veterinary professionals
With 30 years of combined veterinary experience, we’re pleased to provide a wide variety of veterinary care for your pets.
Dr. Jennifer Mosier
DVM, Owner
Dr. Mosier graduated MIT in 1996 with degrees in biology and archaeology. After a few years in research as a cell biologist, she changed focus and graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
Since graduation her time has been split between small animal general practice, shelter medicine and emergency medicine. She purchased Hanover Veterinary Hospital in September 2022 looking to create a practice culture that is welcoming and non judgmental. Dr. Mosier is also a fear Free Certified practitioner and believes in making medical care positive for both the patient and the humans. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, competing in powerlifting and trying not to kill her plants. She has been a faithful follower of Taco Tuesday for decades and is a lover of both good whiskey and craft beer.
Dr. Anna Dechtiaruk
DVM
Dr. Anna grew up in Baltimore County where she was always trying to convince her parents to let her keep yet another animal. She graduated from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Her professional interests include wound care, geriatric care for cats, dogs and exotics. In her free time, she enjoys camping, crocheting and taking care of her dogs, cats, guinea pigs and one tough bunny rabbit who may dominate the world someday.
Dr. Dakota Melton
ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN
Dr. Melton grew up in Hanover, where he always dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. He graduated from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. His professional interests are general medicine for cats and dogs, as well as emergency medicine. He also wants to start learning more about pocket pets. In his free time, he enjoys taking care of his dog, Quiche, going to the gym, and playing video games with friends.
Olive
Owner
Olive showed up as a tiny kitten in August 2004 and has lived here since. She enjoys taunting dogs and flirting with tomcats. Her favorite things include holding down blankets and eating churu.
Julie
PRACTICE MANAGER AKA the one who keeps the monkeys under control
Julie has been with HVH long enough to remember before Olive took over ownership as a kitten in August 2004. She attended Essex Community College Veterinary Technician program in 1992 and has been working in the field since. She has an interest in nutrition and holistic medicine, but truly is the one who holds this place together. She is a board member for our non profit #HVHCares. When not at work, she loves hiking with her german shepherd Raina, and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Elyse
Front End Manager
Elyse has been working with animals since 2012, from kennel attendant, to veterinary assistant, to running our front end here at HVH. She is always looking to help both the pets and their humans and works hard to accommodate your schedule needs. When not at work, you can find her outside with her husband and their two fur children (Kahlua the shihtzu and Rza the golden). She also enjoys curling up with a good book.
Rebekah

Rebekah graduated from the YTI Veterinary technician program. She’s a bit of a ninja and loves to travel while keeping herself a mystery to us mere mortals. She does admit to having two amazing dogs, Raven (mixed breed) and Cleo (chocolate lab).
